Check your traffic sources for compliance with ESMA
It has come to IQOption attention that not all of the affiliates took relevant adjustments to their traffic sources as was described in the newsletter sent on June 28 regarding ESMA restrictions for the provision and promotion of binary options to EU retail clients that came into effect on July 2nd. Namely, some of the affiliates still promote binary and/or digital options on their websites as well as using Google AdWords.
In light of the above, we urge you to check your traffic sources for the compliance with the requested measures as well as implement some additional measures (if such measures were not implemented by you yet):
- There should be no mention of binary and/or digital options not only in ad texts but in keywords as well for any of your PPC campaigns
- Your websites and other traffic sources should implement relevant disclaimers pointed out in the newsletter of June 28
- If your websites and other traffic sources have materials dedicated to binary options, make sure that any mention of IQ Option Europe Ltd. is changed to IQ Option Ltd.
Please make sure to take the necessary steps in the next 24 hours. If your traffic sources are deemed non-compliant with the ESMA restrictions and no corrections are made, we will be forced to suspend your ability to attract clients from European (EEA) countries until such violations are corrected.
